Talent Identification Program

Initially launched in 1997 by official Perugia Calcio Football Academy with the aim of identifying valuable young players to be contracted by the Club and its Partners, the Year Round Talent Identification Program offers high quality soccer trainings together with the opportunity to live a ifetim experience.

Chose to attend the Year Round Talent Identification Program in Italy with Empoli Fc and enjoy the unique atmosphere of living responsibly chasing day by the dream of becoming a soccer star.

The soccer player registers to the "Year-Round Talent Identification Program" TIP at a "Soccer Development Centre" SDC. At the beginning of the program players will have a technical and tactical evaluation whereby the professional Club (Empoli FC) will draw up a specific technical program to be followed. Every year a final try-out is organized in June.

The soccer player who will be selected during the final try-out will have the opportunity to undertake a Yearlong test at a professional Club.

If, at the end of the test, the athlete meets the technical and tactical capabilities requested by the Club, the latter will provide the player with an official membership card and a contract.

 

Year Long Soccer Course

The Year Long Soccer Course represents a worldwide initiative finalized to give the possibility to all young foreigner football players, between 15 and 24, to confront with Italian soccer under the guide of professional coaches with FIGC/UEFA license.
The Year Long Soccer Course is a training of education and improvement created to enhance and emphasize the technical abilities of young athletes with the aim of let them apply in an intense period of coaching that allow them to acquaint themselves with Italian football and the different methodologies. During the Year Long Soccer Course, the Academy, by the staff, will evaluate the technical skills of the players to plan a future engagement in team of Empoli Calcio young sector. The possible engagement of participants is subordinate to the rules of Federazione Italiana Gioco Calcio (FIGC) regarding the Player's Card.

Length

The Master takes place following two kinds of course different in lentgh and commitment:
The "Annual" Master: it lasts 9 months and coincides with the opening and closure of the academic year (from September to June).
The "Monthly" Master: it last 1, 2, 3 or 6 months and is accessible, depending of availability, in every period of the sportive season.

Sport activities

The Year Long Soccer Course enrolled boys improve their technical preparation participating to the training program that foresees 5 sessions of 2 hours per week. The athletes, during the staying in Italy, have the possibility to confront themselves with professional and non professional teams, participating periodically to match with team of different categories. In presence of an homogenous group of participants in aged and technical skills, the Academy, compatibly with the rules of the Federazione Italiana Gioco Calcio, engage itself to let the football players participate to the Italian regional championship of young categories. Empoli Soccer Academy at the end of the Course will give a Report of technical evaluation. Compatible with the activity established in the Program, the athletes can attend some competitions of the Italian professional championship.

Education

The Master provides more than technical education. An athlete for being complete cannot neglect the cultural and educative aspects of his development. The period spent in Italy must give to the young athletes the possibility to improve their cultural and educational formation. Each registered participants for the "Annual" Course must be enrolled at the prestigious University for Foreigners of Perugia, while for a "Monthly" Course the participants can take lessons to learn the Italian language and culture that will allow them to better integrate in Italy. These conditions imposed by Empoli Soccer Academy, represent a guarantee for the athletes and for their families. A personal tutor will constantly allow the students to satisfy their own needs and necessities, guiding them through their studies and helping them to familiarise themselves with the Italian language. In order to allow equality with the Italian institutes and allow each student to continue their own study program, the registration form must be accompanied with a document stating the level of instruction achieved by the athlete's own country of origin. For this reason the registration form must be received before and not later than June 30th of the registration year unless other arrangements are made with Empoli Soccer Academy.

High School

The players that attend High School will lodge in the Convitto Nazionale di Assisi. The Convitto is located in the lovely town of Assisi "the City of Saints". In the Boarding the participants will have the opportunity to lodge, attend school and eat in a unique structure. The accommodations are comfortable and periodically cleaned while the facilities (library, multimedia classrooms, PC laboratories, teather, TV room, sports facilities and other recreational spaces) offer an unique opportunity of fun and cultural growth.
24 hours student's assistance and supervision (including medical assistance) is provided by the tutors who, at the same time have the task to assure the rules are respected.
Students lodge in rooms of max 3 beds with their personal closet and desk and eat in a common dining hall. This also gives everyone an opportunity to socialize other peers. Transportation is provided to take students from the Convitto to the training facilities.

University for Foreigners of Perugia

Athletes enrolled in the prestigious University for Foreigners in Perugia, known in all the world for the quality of the courses, stay in apartments located in the centre of the city.
University for Foreigners has a canteen where athletes can eat at special prices showing the student card. Otherwise, the athletes can use the kitchen in the apartments.
The athletes registered to the monthly Course can choose if attend an Italian language and cultural course in the university.
Empoli Soccer Academy takes out an insurance policy for every participant to the master that can guarantee the National Sanitary Assistance.
For the necessary transfers Empoli Soccer Academy guarantees a travel card for the public transport with which the athletes reach the field to train.

Kit of sportswear:

In the tuition is included a kit of technical sportswear for the exigencies of the athletes during their staying in Italy. The kit is composed by different accessories.

Typical weekly program

The program established for the athletes registered to the Year Long Soccer Course is developed to make them in the situation to follow a period of athletic preparation finalized to reach the goal of the project. The one that follows represents a program that can change depending on the competitive engagements of the players.
